“Gotham” is taking over Maspeth next week.

Fox’s hit television show, chronicling the time in Gotham City that helped transform a young Bruce Wayne into Batman, will be filming scenes for its third season on Monday, Oct. 10, at the Knockdown Center, 52-19 Flushing Ave., in Maspeth’s industrial sector from 3 to 8 p.m.

The first scene will feature Selina Kyle, played by Camren Bicondova, and Bruce Wayne, played by David Mazouz, climbing out of a car and entering a building.

The filming company has been granted permission to use atmospheric smoke and haze per the FDNY; to have minor actors with permits; to stage, drive, and operate a picture car; to have a prop gun, but no shots will be fired.

Once they enter the building, a scene of interior dialogue will be filmed.

As always with filming, parking restrictions will be in effect, although not as extensive as some other projects in the area have been.

54th Street between Flushing and Nurge avenues will be shut down on both the north and south sides of the entire block, and the east side Flushing Avenue between 54th Street and Metropolitan Avenue will be blocked off for a quarter of the block.

This is not the first time “Gotham” has filmed in the area, as Ridgewood has been a popular location with its elevated train tracks creating the perfect atmosphere to represent the crime-riddled Gotham City with lead actor Ben McKenzie often on set.
