A fire broke out in a residential building in Jackson Heights this morning, leaving one person seriously injured, according to the FDNY.
The fire broke out on the first floor of 32-35 82nd Street around 10 a.m., the FDNY said.
Twelve units, or 65 firefighters, responded to the scene, and the blaze was brought under control by 10:38.
One person was seriously injured in the fire, the FDNY said, and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
