Queens residents will be able to fulfill their pancake cravings when the first Denny’s in Queens opens in Jackson Heights on Jan. 25.

According to managing partner Bihari Lall, the 4,700-square-foot diner at 87-10 Northern Blvd. will employ between 50 to 65 people. Plans for the Denny’s were first announced in 2014 when the building that will house the chain was being built.

Chipotle, Dunkin’ Donuts, Children of America Day Care and medical offices also operate out of the same building.

“We are excited to finally bring Denny’s to the Jackson Heights area,” said Sam Hassen, franchisee. “The community has been very supportive, and we look forward to finally unveiling our new location and welcoming guests into our booths.”

Denny’s is probably best known for its breakfast offerings, which include a menu of items ranging from $2 to $8. Harold Butler and Richard Jezak first opened a doughnut stand in 1953 called Dany’s Donuts, which became Denny’s in 1961. Now, there are more than 1,600 locations all over the world.
