March 3, 2017 Staff Report (Update 12:04 pm)

7-train has resumed after being down between 111th Street and Queensboro Plaza—in both directions–for about 2 hours due to a gas leak in Jackson Heights.

The MTA received a request from the FDNY to close down service at 10:32 am after a gas leak was reported at 71-17 Roosevelt Avenue.

The MTA resumed service shortly after 12:00pm  upon getting word from the FDNY to resume service.

The MTA reports, however, that there are extensive delays.
