Following a lengthy investigation, a Long Island woman was arrested on Sunday for allegedly running down an employee at a College Point spa with her car back in February as she fled to avoid paying her bill.
Law enforcement sources said Areil McMillian, 24, of East Patchogue visited the Spa Castle located at 131-11 11th Ave. on Feb. 26 and exited the premises without paying for the services she received there. She was observed entering a dark-colored sedan.
Authorities said a 21-year-old male spa employee approached McMillian’s vehicle and was then struck by it as she fled the scene.
The incident was reported to the 109th Precinct; paramedics brought the victim to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries including bruises and pain.
McMillian was charged on April 2 with assault, petit larceny and leaving the scene of an accident.
