Man steals wallet from sleeping rider on F train, police say

The police are looking for a man who allegedly stole a wallet and cellphone from a sleeping passenger on the Queens-bound F train.

The victim discovered his wallet had been taken, which contained several credit and debit cards, when he arrived at the Broadway/Roosevelt Avenue at around 4:30 am on Sunday, April 23.

The suspect allegedly tried to use one of the debit cards to buy items at Pronto Lottery, a bodega located next to the Broadway/Roosevelt station at 40-07 74th Street, at 5:20 am that same day, according to police. The suspect’s purchase with the debit card was unsuccessful.

Police release footage of the suspect who was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, black pants and red sneakers.
