Cops released video on Thursday of a bare-chested man who recently slapped a woman in the rear end as she waited for a train at a Ridgewood subway station.
Authorities said the incident took place at 4:55 a.m. on the morning of June 17 at the Halsey Street station on the L line, located in the vicinity of Wyckoff Avenue and Halsey Street.
According to law enforcement sources, the 26-year-old woman was waiting on the Manhattan-bound platform when the suspect approached her, smacked her in the buttocks and then fled the station southbound on Covert Street. The incident was later reported to police.
The NYPD described the perpetrator as a black man between 20 and 26 years of age who was last seen carrying a gray sweater over his shoulder while wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, dark-colored jeans and gray sneakers.
The security camera video released on Aug. 3 shows the suspect walking by one of the Halsey Street station entrances.
