With the last weekend of August upon us and the warm weather continuing throughout the week, it’s the perfect time to visit the LIC Flea & Food Market.

Enjoy the sunshine, stroll through the market and visit with amazing vendors as you search for that special item or treat.

This weekend, the market is welcoming a few new food vendors. The Unique Foodie Witchery specializes in baked goods using knowledge of fruits, herbs, spices and other baking staples to provide a unique and special product each centered around a specific spiritual need (i.e. love, money or protection). Grab a delicious pie or yummy cupcakes baked with a little magic!

For vintage lovers, Used & Collectibles is making its debut with one-of-a-kind antique pieces that will impress even the most jaded collector. Jerry Phillips has been collecting for more than 25 years and has an eye for classic pieces that will enhance your home. Stop by his booth this weekend and shop his collection of furniture, rugs and chinaware.

Kini LIC (Kini (끼니): a Korean word meaning meal) will have you coming back every week with their delicious selection of Korean inspired cuisine by up-and-coming chef Juwon Song. Intrigued by the ways cuisine shapes our lives and interactions, Song was inspired to get his Culinary Certificate in Korean Cuisine, and the end result is Kini LIC, where you can find his innovative dish, Kimchi Aranchi Balls.

Summer may be winding down, but the fun continues well into the fall at the LIC Flea. For all our barbecue and beer lovers, we have something special. The first-ever Queens BBQ Smokehouse Festival is coming up Sept. 16-17. For more information and to learn about the monthly special events, visit www.LICFlea.com
