The seemingly never-ending saga of sewer construction in Maspeth continues this week as the NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC) will be working along 54th Street again.
According to a weekly construction bulletin, DDC crews will begin installing sanitary/storm sewers on 54th Street between Flushing and Grand avenues starting today, Aug. 7. The project is expected to last until Friday, Aug. 11.
Work hours will begin at 7 a.m. and continue until 3:30 p.m. However, due to unforeseen field and weather conditions, work dates, times and locations may need to be changed.
DDC was previously working on 54th Street last week.
In addition to any 72-hour advisory of any water service interruptions, a 24-hour notification will distributed/posted to any affected area(s), and No Parking signs have been distributed and/or posted 72-hours prior to the temporary elimination of any street and driveway access.
