Police were looking for a man in his 60s who allegedly broke into two Woodside apartments, stole jewelry, electronics and cash from one of them, and fled the scene on a scooter, according to the NYPD. The suspect entered a residential building in the vicinity of 41st Avenue and 66th Street through an open door Monday afternoon.

The man used a tool to pry open the door of the first apartment but took nothing. He proceeded to break into a second apartment where he took cameras, a Louis Vuitton bag, multiple wallets, jewelry, watches, at least one credit card, laptops and other electronics, an iPhone, and $600 in cash, police said.

The NYPD has released photos and a surveillance video of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
