The entire community is invited to Juniper Valley Park in Middle Village this Friday, Sept. 15, for the 104th Precinct Community Safety Day, where people of all ages can get important information from the NYPD and local businesses.

During the event, which will run from 5 to 8 p.m., adults will be able to speak with police personnel to get information on how to stay safe in their neighborhood and online through literature from the Crime Prevention team, Domestic Violence unit and Community Affairs officers, as well as information about local businesses and organizations.

Kids will have the chance to participate in the bike etching program to help prevent their bikes from being stolen, and will help in the recovery of the bike if it does happen to be stolen. A thief recently lifted an approximately $800 bike from a teen around Juniper Valley Park, cops reported.

Youth can also meet with the precinct’s Youth Officers to discuss any issues they may be facing at home or in school.

Maspeth High School will have a table at the event with information for parents and prospective students.

The 104th Precinct Community Council (104PCC) will be on hand giving out information as well.

Once everyone gathers all the information they need, there will be plenty of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. The park will have three bouncy rides, balloon animals, and characters to take pictures with, all free of charge.

There will also be free hotdogs for everyone and a DJ playing popular tunes.
