The police are looking for two men who have allegedly broken into several apartments in Elmhurst, Lindenwood and Astoria and taken laptops and jewelry.
The men’s burglary spree began at about 4:30 pm on July 26 in Elmhurst, when they broke into an apartment near 81st Street and Broadway and made off with a laptop worth $600, police said.
That evening, at around 7:45 p.m., the men broke into another Elmhurst apartment, this time near Woodside Avenue and 76th Street. They took a laptop valued at $300, according to police.
Next month, on Aug. 17 at 2:08 p.m., the men allegedly broke into an Astoria apartment near Astoria Boulevard and 27th Street. They took a laptop and jewelry, with a total estimated value of $2,739, police said.

On Sept. 5 at 3:07 p.m., the men broke through an apartment door in Lindenwood near 81st Street and 156th Avenue. They took jewelry valued at $15,900.
The first suspect is white, in his 50s and about 5 foot 9 and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a gray shirt and dark pants.
The other man is also white, in his 30s, and about 5 foot 9 and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses, a dark baseball cap, a gray shirt and dark pants.
