Queens artists are being invited to showcase their work in Bayside.
The Bayside Historical Society (BHS) will present its 17th Annual Art Show in January. The exhibit at the Castle at Fort Totten will feature pieces from Queens-based artists, primarily from northeast Queens.
Interested artists must register by no later than Friday, Jan. 5. Artists may exhibit up to two works and submissions in all mediums are welcome. Last year’s exhibit featured work from over 30 local artists in mediums including painting, drawing, photography and mixed media.

This year’s exhibit will run from Jan. 14 to 28. An opening reception will take place on Sunday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. and feature an awards ceremony, gallery talk and refreshments.
The exhibit and reception are open to the public. Viewing hours for the duration of the exhibit will be Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon until 4 p.m. Admission is $5 per person or free for BHS members.

BHS was founded in 1964 and collects and preserves information concerning the history of Bayside and offers a variety of programs in the arts and humanities.
