Detectives are continuing to investigate a three-vehicle wreck in Kew Gardens Hills earlier this week that caused fatal injuries to a 60-year-old Astoria woman.

Police said Joann Pacifico of 32nd Street was riding in the rear of a 2012 Toyota Camry on Jewel Avenue between Main and 149th streets at 4:49 p.m. on Jan. 15. That’s when the car collided with a 2003 Subaru Forester driven by a 59-year-old woman and a 2001 Ford Econoline operated by a 59-year-old man.

The NYPD did not provide specific details regarding the direction of each vehicle involved in the wreck.

Officers from the 107th Precinct and EMS units responded to the incident. While no other serious injuries were reported, Pacifico suffered internal injuries and succumbed to them on Thursday morning, Jan. 18, at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

No arrests have been made; the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is handling the inquiry.
