An 82-year-old woman was critically injured in Jackson Heights Friday after she fell on Northern Boulevard and was struck by a car, according to police.
The woman was crossing the boulevard around 2 p.m. when she tumbled to the ground. At that moment, a vehicle turning off 90th Street ran her over.
The police are investigating whether the woman slipped on the ice from Thursday’s storm.
The woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. The police had yet to receive an update as to her condition as of Monday morning.
The driver remained on the scene, and no charges have been filed.
