Police need the public’s help in finding two burglars who got into an Elmhurst apartment last month and stole a fortune.
Law enforcement sources said the bandits broke into a first-floor apartment of a home on Elbertson Street near 94th Street at 9:27 a.m. on Jan. 22.
Once inside, authorities said, the crooks removed a safe that contained $10,000 in cash along with a Rolex watch and an individual’s green card.
Cops noted that the suspects were spotted placing the safe into the trunk of a silver Honda Accord, then entering the car and fleeing the scene.
In a wanted flier posted to the 110th Precinct‘s Twitter account, police described the suspects as two men, both of whom have light complexions. One man wore a navy blue baseball cap and jacket, blue jeans and gray shoes; the other individual wore a black jacket and blue jeans.
Anyone with information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts can call the 110th Precinct Detective Squad at 718-476-9317. All calls are kept confidential.
