Police are searching for a man who snatched a 78-year-old woman’s wallet and charged $1,200 on her credit cards in Jackson Heights on March 2.
The woman was in a Burger King at 37-07 82nd St. at around 6:30 p.m. when she realized that her wallet was gone and called the police. Surveillance video at the restaurant showed the suspect pulling the wallet out of the woman’s purse.
The suspect left the restaurant after taking the wallet and used the woman’s credit cards to spend $1,200.
Police say that the suspect is a 5 foot 8 inches tall, 180 pound Hispanic man. He was last seen wearing a black vest over a gray jacket and dark pants.
