Cops have identified the man they want to talk to in connection with Monday’s sexual assault in Kew Gardens Hills.
Police released on Thursday video footage of the person of interest on board a Q44 bus at about 7:40 a.m. on April 30, about an hour before the assault was reported to police.
On Saturday, the NYPD identified the man as 21-year-old Ronald Williams. His last known address was not disclosed.
Law enforcement sources said a 52-year-old woman was found brutally beaten and sexually assaulted at the bottom of a stairwell in the vicinity of Kissena Boulevard and 72nd Road at about 8:33 a.m. on Monday morning.
Paramedics rushed the woman to a local hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition.
The Q44 Select Bus Line, which runs between Jamaica and the Bronx, passes through Kew Gardens Hills along Main Street. Police did not disclose the direction of the bus which the person of interest rode the morning of the attack.
The nearest Q44 stop to the crime scene is located about three blocks west, at the intersection of Main Street and 73rd Avenue.
Police said Williams was seen wearing a black-and-green jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black-and-red Houston Rockets cap and red pants.
The NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad is investigating the case. A $10,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the attacker’s arrest and conviction.
