A man was struck dead by an E-Train at the Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Avenue Station last night after accidentally falling onto the tracks, police said.
The 58-year-old victim lost his footing on the platform at about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday and fell on to the tracks as an E-Train was pulling into the station, police said.
The man was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police believe that the incident was accidental, although an investigation is continuing.
The name of the victim has not been released.
