The police have arrested a man who allegedly threw a NYPD traffic cop to the ground and punched him in the head on Roosevelt Avenue last month.
Jhon Correa-Quintero, 27, allegedly grabbed the traffic agent by the neck in front of 84-18 Roosevelt Ave. at around 3:30 p.m. on May 29 before pushing him to the ground. He then punched and kicked the traffic cop in the head, police said.
The victim sustained pain and swelling to the head and was transported to Queens General Hospital before being treated and released.
Correa-Quintero, of 110-34 55th Ave. in Corona, was arrested on June 24 and faces assault, menacing and harassment charges.
