Cops have released images of a suspect who recently grabbed a woman’s buttocks on the staircase of an Astoria subway station.
Law enforcement sources said the incident occurred at 1:15 p.m. on June 4 inside the Steinway Street station on the M and R lines.
According to authorities, a 24-year-old woman was walking up the stairs from the platform to the mezzanine when the perpetrator approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks. The victim managed to take a cell phone picture of the suspect before he fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Police described the subway creep as a Hispanic man between 28 and 30 years of age with black hair, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a light blue button-down shirt and dark blue jeans.
