A Long Island man was charged with selling drugs and stolen motorcycles to an undercover cop in Queens, prosecutors announced Thursday.
Randall Singh, 32, of Hempstead, is awaiting arraignment on charges of first- and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. If convicted, Singh faces 8 to 20 years in prison.
According to the first complaint, between June 2017 and April 2018, Singh allegedly arranged meetings in Queens with a buyer, who unbeknownst to Singh was an undercover cop, to sell cocaine and various stolen motorcycles, including a Honda CBR, Suzuki GSXR, Kawasaki Ninja, Suzuki G60 and a BMW F700GS.
During each meeting, the drugs and stolen bikes were exchanged for money. None of the motorcycles that allegedly sold by Singh had with an ignition key and in many instances the ignitions had been rewired to enable the engines to start or manipulated with a screwdriver.
The second complaint states that on Sept. 6, 2017, Singh allegedly met with sold a buyer cocaine in exchange for cash. It is alleged that on Sept. 26, 2017, Singh met sold the same buyer a bag of cocaine for $4,000 and a stolen red Honda CBR motorcycle for $2,700.
“The defendant in this case is charged with dealing drugs as well as stolen motorcycles,” said District Attorney Richard A. Brown. “As a result of a long-term investigation by the New York City Police Department’s Auto Crime Division and my office’s Organized Crime and Rackets Bureau, this individual is now out of business and facing a lengthy term of incarceration for these alleged crimes. This case should serve as a warning to drug dealers and anyone else who barters in stolen goods that law enforcement is coming for you.”
