Sleeping woman startled by burglar who got into her Sunnyside home: cops

Police are looking into a burglar who broke into a Sunnyside home and fled after a sleeping woman woke up to find him there.

According to police, on Sept. 22 an unknown individual broke into a two-family home in the vicinity of 50th Avenue and 41st Street by unknown means between the hours of 1:30 and 4:30 a.m.

Once the suspect was inside, a 32-year-old woman, who was sleeping, woke up and began to scream. The burglar then fled the scene out the front door to parts unknown.

Officers from the 108th Precinct responded to the scene; the woman was not injured.
