Three men punched and smashed victim with a bottle during robbery attempt in Jamaica

Cops are looking for three crooks who attacked a man for his cellphone in Jamaica.

According to police, at 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 20, a 23-year-old man was using his cellphone on 173rd Street when he was approached by three unknown men. The trio grabbed the man’s cellphone and began to punch him and hit him with a bottle numerous times.

Law enforcement sources said the suspects then fled the scene on foot on Jamaica Avenue.

Officers from the 103rd Precinct responded to the robbery. The victim suffered a laceration to the head, but was not hospitalized as a result of the attack.

Police described the suspects as black men between the ages of 18 and 28-years-old. The NYPD released the following videos of the suspects running from the scene following the attack.
