Police are looking for a duo that broke into five homes across Bayside and Flushing over the course of seven hours and took off with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.
The burglary spree began at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 9, according to law enforcement sources. Two unknown suspects entered an unoccupied home in the vicinity of Parsons Boulevard and 29th Road through an unsecured door. Once inside, the suspects took jewelry valued at $500 and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
At 4 p.m. that same day, authorities said, the crooks broke into an unoccupied home in the vicinity of Corporal Kennedy Street and 42nd Avenue through an unsecured door. However, the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction and no property was reported missing.
Police said the third incident took place at 5 p.m. when the bandits broke into a home in the vicinity of Station Road and 190th Street through an unsecured window. Once inside, the thieves took $4,000 worth of jewelry before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
The crooks continued their rampage at 5:30 p.m. that day, cops said, when they broke into a different home in the vicinity of Station Road and 190th Street through a secured door. The suspects eventually fled the scene in an unknown direction and no property was reported missing.
Finally, at 8:30 p.m., the perpetrators broke into a different home in the vicinity of Parsons Boulevard and 29th Road through a secured door. Police said the duo fled in an unknown direction empty-handed.
Police believe that both of the suspects are male. They were last seen wearing a hat, mask covering their faces and all dark clothing.
