The NYPD released video footage of two men who were caught on camera allegedly trying to break into a Middle Village home last month.
Police said the perpetrators attempted to push an air conditioning unit into a home located on 77th Place off Eliot Avenue at 10:46 a.m. on the morning of Oct. 25.
According to authorities, one of the men allegedly rang the doorbell before returning to a gray Dodge Caravan parked in front of the house, while his partner attempted to push the window unit in, police said.
Both men fled before they could enter the home, police said. The incident was later reported to the 104th Precinct.
The first suspect is described by NYPD as a white or Hispanic male of about 30 years old and standing about 5 foot 9, while the other only described as a white or Hispanic male of about the same height.
