Homeless man dies in front of Flushing apartment house, no foul play suspected: cops

No criminality is suspected in the death of a 41-year-old homeless man whose body was found on a Flushing street on Thursday afternoon, law enforcement sources said.

Officers from the 109th Precinct responded to a 911 call at 5:01 p.m. on Jan. 24 of an unconscious man in front of the apartment house on Northern Boulevard near 147th Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, cops discovered the unidentified victim lying on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive. Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the man dead; his body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, there were no apparent signs of trauma or foul play. The homeless man was known to frequent the Flushing area, but police noted that they did not find any identification on him.

The investigation is ongoing.
