Police have released surveillance footage of a man wanted for allegedly stealing $100,000 worth of jewelry from a Corona shop last week.
The suspect, described as Hispanic and between 30 to 40 years of age, was seen entering a livery cab wearing a hoodie and face mask immediately after the Jan. 23 robbery at Shlomi Jewelry Store on Junction Boulevard.
The thief, according to police, broke into the 37-65 Junction Blvd. location by cutting a hole through the roof at around 7:30 p.m. that day.
An employee discovered the theft at around 11:15 a.m. the following day upon arriving at work, an NYPD spokesperson said.
