A man was struck and killed by an MTA bus early this morning in Jackson Heights, according to police.
The bus driver, 55, was driving a Q33 bus westbound on Roosevelt Avenue at around 2:45 a.m. when it struck the pedestrian at 75th Street.
Police say the victim was unresponsive upon arrival and suffered trauma to the head and body.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld by authorities pending family notification, was transported to Elmhurst Hospital by EMS, where he was declared deceased.
Police say the bus driver remained on scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
