Police have arrested and charged a Jackson Heights man in relation to a fatal shooting that happened inside his 88th Street home on Monday.

Nestor Londono, 49, was charged with manslaughter in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police say at 11:57 a.m. on April 8, a 911 call was made regarding a shooting at 37-14 88th Street, the shooter’s home.

Upon arrival, police found 31-year-old Jeffrey Arroyo, a Jackson Heights resident, with a gunshot wound to the chest. Arroyo was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival.

Police say about an hour later, they took Londono from his residence, the location of the shooting, for questioning and arrested him later that day.
