Two men were shot — one fatally — on a residential street in North Corona early this morning.
Shortly before 4 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of 32-33 108th St. Arriving officers found a 42-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the body, police said.
EMS rushed the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he pronounced dead.
A second victim, a 27-year-old man, was shot in the abdomen nearby the spot where the first victim was found. He was taken to the same hospital, via private means, in stable condition, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and there are no arrests at this point, the NYPD said.
The identity of the deceased victim has not been released, as officers work to notify his family members.
