Woman robbed at gunpoint aboard A train in Ozone Park: NYPD

A 65-year-old woman was robbed of her cellphone while riding the A train by a gun-toting thug who appeared to be wearing two different sneakers on Saturday morning.

The victim was seated aboard a northbound A train approaching the 88th Street/Liberty Avenue subway station in Ozone Park at around 5:35 a.m. when the suspect approached and pulled out a handgun and forcibly removed the woman’s cellphone before running off at the station in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was not injured and police from the 106th Precinct in Ozone Park and Transit District 23 are on the lookout for the gunman.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect who was wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt with “We are the Resistance” across the chest, dark sweatpants and a black backpack. He was wearing one black sneaker and one white sneaker.
