Police from the 104th Precinct are looking for a couple who went shopping in a Woodside deli after they allegedly broke into and robbed a nearby home on the afternoon of Sunday, July 17.

It was around 2 p.m. when the unidentified woman and man broke into a residence in the vicinity of 53rd Place and Broadway by pushing up a rear window to gain entry. Once inside the Woodside home, they removed jewelry, electronics, a cellphone, a wallet and handbags valued at approximately $10,250. The couple fled on foot and there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident, police said.

A short while later, the suspects showed up inside a deli located at 53-11 Broadway in Woodside, where they were captured on surveillance cameras. The NYPD released those images and described them as having light complexions and being in their 30s. The man had dark hair and wore a blue shirt, light-colored shorts and dark sneakers. The woman had auburn-colored hair, a blue and white striped blouse and light-colored jeans.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the suspects is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782).
