Two men sought in Long Island City beatdown that left a victim with a broken jaw: NYPD

The NYPD on Thursday, Sept. 1 released new surveillance photos of two suspects who are being sought in a brutal attack near the Queensbridge North Houses in Long Island City in mid-July that left a man with a broken jaw.

Police from the 114th Precinct in Astoria have been looking for the two men who picked a fight with the 34-year-old victim in front of 09-19 40th Ave. on the night of Thursday, July 14.

The unprovoked assault began as a verbal dispute that escalated to violence when two men began punching the victim in the face with closed fists, police said. The two men ran off in an unknown direction and the victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in Astoria in stable condition with a fractured jaw.

The two suspects are between 30 to 40 years of age with dark complexions. One wore a white T-shirt, white and black shorts with a star design on the side, white sneakers and had a black bag slung over his chest. The second man wore a black T-shirt and black pants.
