Two off-duty police officers were arrested in Kew Gardens Friday morning, Oct. 14, after police from the 102nd Precinct in Richmond Hill responded to a domestic incident, according to an NYPD spokesman.
Police Officer Yoheliza Yanez, 34, was engaged in an argument with Officer Raul Avila, 34, when it escalated into violence. Yanez was charged with assault and Avila was charged with strangulation and criminal obstruction of breathing, police said.
