Unwrap the magic this December at The Shops at Skyview in Flushing as the shopping center hosts a series of holiday events for families to enjoy.
The Shops at Skyview will kick off festivities with a holiday tree celebration on Dec. 3. Visitors can stroll throughout Skyview to enjoy decorated trees and vote for their favorite tree in support of local non-profit organizations. The winning non-profit tree will receive a $1,000 donation from the shopping center.
Wesley Sin, marketing manager for ShopCore Properties, owners and managing entity for The Shops at Skyview, is inviting the community to visit the shopping center to vote for their favorite nonprofit tree and to help raise money for the community.
“The Shops at Skyview is ready to spread holiday cheer with our annual Holiday Tree Celebration,” Sin said. “This campaign has been hosted the past two years throughout our ShopCore portfolio of properties and over $33,000 has been donated to nearly 70 charities nationwide. At Skyview, more than $3,500 was donated to five local non-profits during last year’s holiday season.”
Also, beginning on Dec. 3, participating retailers and restaurants at The Shops at Skyview will be handing out complimentary gingerbread kits as a gift with purchase. Finally, visitors will be able to enjoy “12 Days of Holiday” with an array of curated events beginning Dec. 10.
“We look forward to celebrating with the community and helping those in need this holiday season,” Sin said. “Our guests can practice their wreath crafting, make gingerbread houses, craft holiday cocktails, and get a photo with Santa. Donations for some of our 12 Days of Holiday Events will go to CoreGiving, ShopCore’s nonprofit that focuses on combating childhood hunger. There is something for everyone at The Shops at Skyview during the holidays and throughout the year!”
