Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village are on the lookout for a gunman who opened fire outside a Laurelton auto parts store on Merrick Boulevard earlier this month.

The “reckless endangerment” incident occurred just after 5 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, when the suspect approached the Parts Authority store located at 221-11 Merrick Blvd. near 221st Street and pulled out a handgun, discharged multiple rounds, and fled northbound on 221st Street.

No injuries or property damage to the store were reported as a result of the shooting, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect and described him as having a dark complexion, approximately 240 pounds with a beard.

He was last seen wearing all dark clothing and a New York Yankees baseball cap.

A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to his arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
