Police from the 104th Precinct are searching for a group of violent muggers who beat and robbed an L train rider at the Myrtle Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue subway station in Ridgewood last week.

Police say the 18-year-old male victim was approached by the four unknown assailants at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, July 28, while on the southbound MTA L train.

The culprits displayed a knife and followed the victim onto the platform where they proceeded to punch, kick and throw him to the ground, police said. One of the perps also stole the victim’s phone, according to the NYPD.

All four suspects re-entered the train and fled the scene, police said. EMS took the victim to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.
