Police are searching for the crooks who snatched more than $8,500 in cash, as well as credit cards and personal items from a vehicle in Flushing last week.

Authorities say that a driver was unloading a van in the vicinity of Maple Avenue and Main Street — within the confines of the 109th Precinct — at approximately 4 p.m. on Aug. 17, when two crooks approached the vehicle and snatched $8,500 in cash, credit cards, debit cards and personal items from inside the vehicle before fleeing the location on a moped.

The 109th Precinct posted about the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter.

There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
