Crooks nab $1,000 in knifepoint robbery of Ridgewood smoke shop: NYPD

Police from the 104th Precinct are asking the public to help identify the whereabouts of two suspects who robbed a smoke shop in Ridgewood last week.

Police say the two unidentified males entered the smoke shop, located at 59-11 71 Ave. in Ridgewood, on Friday, Sept. 22, at approximately 5:25 p.m., and displayed a knife to a 25-year-old employee.

The criminals then removed approximately $400 in cash from the register and $600 worth of products, police said. The two men fled the location on a scooter and headed southbound on Stephen Street. There were no injuries reported as a result of the robbery.

One crook is described as a male with a light complexion and is believed to be approximately 25 to 35 years old and 5 feet 7 inches tall, according to the NYPD. He was last seen wearing a white durag, a green camouflage shirt and gray pants.
