Police from the 104th Precinct are searching for the man who robbed a 60-year-old woman at knifepoint in Middle Village this week.

Police say the woman was returning home from the Chase Bank on Eliot Avenue when she was approached by a man walking north in front of 60-41 71st St. at approximately 4 p.m. on Sept. 13. The man then displayed a knife and demanded the victim’s purse.

The crook then removed the victim’s purse, which contained $1,800 and her belongings, and fled in a dark-colored car, police said.

Police sources reported that the victim said she felt like someone was following her and when she turned around, the man demanded her purse. The woman was not injured during the robbery.

The suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male, according to the NYPD.
