Detectives out of the 109th Precinct in Flushing have identified a prime suspect in an ongoing homicide investigation into the fatal shooting of a College Point man in January 2022.
Investigators believe 59-year-old Zhang Ming was the trigger man who gunned down 44-year-old Dihao Song, of 128th Street, in the Queensboro Hill section of Flushing on the evening of Jan. 10, 2022.
Just before 5 p.m., police from the 109th Precinct responded to a call of an unconscious man at an apartment building located at 132-44 41st Ave., where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his neck. EMS responded to the crime scene and rushed Song to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The NYPD released photos of Ming on Nov. 15 and asked for the public’s help in locating him.

The 109th Precinct has reported one murder so far in 2023, four fewer than the five reported at the same point last year, a decrease of 80%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
