Permits have been filed for the construction of a 14-story community facility between Union Street and Bowne Street in Flushing.

The proposed development, located at 138-30 Northern Blvd., would be 182 feet tall and yield 65,387 square feet if built. This building would be designated for community facility space, with a majority of it being dedicated to ambulatory health facilities.

Demolition permits have not yet been filed, and an estimated date of completion for the building has not yet been provided.

The first floor of this building would be reserved entirely for commercial retail space. Other features of the development will be a cellar and 139 enclosed parking spaces.

The property is located within walking distance from the Main Street subway station, which services the 7 train.

The owner of these building permit applications is listed as Linzhong Zhuo. In 2022, Zhuo had also filed permits for the construction of a 19-story residential building right next to this property, at 138-32 Northern Blvd. The architect of record for the community facility is HPL Engineering.
