Housing lottery launches for 5-story residential building in Ridgewood, rent starts at $2,830

New York City has launched a housing lottery for three units at 18-15 Linden St. in Ridgewood.

This 5-story building yields a total of nine residences, with six being at market rate. The other three residences have been set aside for those earning 130% of the area median income.

One of the units set aside is a one-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,830. Up to three people can reside there as long as they combine for an annual income ranging from $97,029 to $181,740.

The other two units are two-bedroom units, with a monthly rent of $3,195. These units can accommodate households of up to five people, earning $109,543-$218,010 in combined annual income.

Amenities for residents include washers and dryers, high-end and energy-efficient appliances, air-conditioning and private outdoor spaces for each unit. There is also a communal roof deck that provides a great view of the Manhattan skyline. Tenants will be responsible for electricity.

Those who intend to apply for housing at 18-15 Linden St. must meet the housing and income size requirements. New York City residents who apply will receive a general preference for the units. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online by Oct. 8. Qualified applicants will also be required to meet additional selection criteria.

Those interested in applying for this housing lottery can do so online by clicking here. Applications can also be requested via mail by sending a self-addressed envelope to 18-15 Linden Street, c/o iAfford NY LLC, 141 Flushing Ave., Suite 1201A, Brooklyn, NY 11205.

Duplicate applications are not allowed. Only one can be sent per lottery, either online or by mailing a paper application. Those who submit more than one application could be disqualified.
