The Friends of Ridgewood Library will host a “Friendsgiving” on Thursday, Nov. 21, in the auditorium at 20-12 Madison St.

The event, starting at 6 p.m., has been organized to help those who have not had a hot meal in a while or who are unable to see friends and family this holiday season.

A Thanksgiving meal will be available that includes Turkey Breast with Gravy, Maple-Glazed Spiral Ham, Mashed Potatoes, String Beans, Sausage stuffing, Creamed Spinach, Sweet Potato Mash, Garden Salad, Mixed Vegetables, and Assorted Cookies and Pastries. Some foods may not be suitable for those with allergies.

Seating is limited, so RSVP is required. To reserve a place, email friendsrdgwd@gmail.com.

The Friends of Ridgewood Library confirmed that there are only nine spots left to RSVP for so those interested are encouraged to do so quickly. There will also be crafts for children available on the day.

While Thanksgiving is a time for celebration for many people, it can also represent a time of hardship, which is why events like these are so important to the community.
