Man sought for allegedly groping F train rider while she waited on the platform at a Forest Hills subway station: NYPD

Cops are looking for this suspect for allegedly groping a woman while she waited for an F train at the 75th Avenue subway station in Forest Hills last week.

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are still looking for a creep who allegedly groped a woman who was waiting for an F train at the 75th Avenue subway station more than a week ago.

The suspect targeted a 27-year-old victim as she waited on the platform for a northbound F train just after 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28. The stranger approached her and touched her before grabbing her buttocks, police said Tuesday. The perpetrator fled the station on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured as a result of the forcible touching incident.

The NYPD released an image of the suspect on Tuesday and described him as having a dark complexion with braided hair and a thin mustache. He wore a green head covering, a green sweatshirt, and black pants, and several chains around his neck.

Through Nov. 3, the 112th Precinct has reported 36 sex crimes so far in 2024, three more than the 33 reported at the same point last year, an increase of 9.1%, according to the most recent CompStat report. Transit crimes are also on the rise in the precinct with 29 reported so far this year, three more than the 26 reported at the same point in 2023, an increase of 11.5%, according to CompStat.
