Bayside is getting a head start on its Independence Day celebration at Fort Totten Park on Wednesday, June 18, from 6-9 p.m., featuring an array of festive activities to get the community in the holiday spirit.
The annual event, located at Totten Ave and 15th Rd., is hosted by the Queens Chamber of Commerce and the Bayside Historical Society, and sponsored by Council Member Vickie Paladino.
The rain or shine event will feature fireworks, live music, and an array of food trucks featuring a diverse selection of tasty food to enjoy throughout the evening. The yearly event provides the community with a fun, family-friendly get-together under the stars for an unforgettable evening.

Free parking and shuttle buses will be available at Bay Terrace Shopping Center and Clearview Golf Course from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Guests are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, snacks, and loved ones for a fun evening and to share their festive spirit. The fireworks, organized by Fireworks by Grucci, will begin at 9:15 p.m.
Fort Totten Park is a historic location in the Northeast Queens community, which includes a Civil War-era fortress. The park is open year-round and is host to a variety of events, wildlife, and historic structures. The waterfront location provides the perfect scene for a fireworks display, and the yearly event is the perfect pre-Fourth of July celebration.
