Suspect sneaks into Five Guys in Fresh Meadows, tries to swipe cash from register: cops

Cops are looking for a suspect who slipped into a Fresh Meadows restaurant during an early morning delivery and tried to steal some cash.

On Jan. 3 at around 2:30 a.m., an unidentified male suspect entered the Five Guys Restaurant at 61-22 188th St. while a delivery was being made at the rear of the store, law enforcement sources said. The suspect made an attempt to break the cash register but failed.

The suspect then fled the location in a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan with two other individuals, according to police. Nothing was removed from the property.

The incident was reported to the 107th Precinct.

Surveillance images of the suspect, who was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, and the getaway vehicle can be seen below.
