Jean A. Smith

Jean A. Smith of the Bayside Gables passed away on July 6 after a long illness. She was 88 years old.
She was the beloved wife of Robert H. Smith and devoted mother to her three sons, Richard, Douglas and John. She adored her grandchildren, Julian and Jordan, as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins.
Smith graduated Hunter College in 1940. She met her husband Robert at a U.S.O. dance 62 years ago and went on to assist him with his medical practice. She loved her family and all things Italian.
Arrangements were handled by the Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home in Bayside. A funeral Mass was held at Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment was at Cavalry Cemetery.
