Outdoor Astoria concerts

With summer in full swing, the Central Astoria Local Development Coalition continues its 25th annual Waterfront Concert Series every Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The concerts are held each year on the Astoria Park Lawn on Shore Boulevard, between the Hell Gate Bridge and Astoria Pool. People of all ages are welcome to enjoy the soothing musical performances of the night.
The next artists to perform at the park on July 5 are The Platters. This classic group formed in the fifties, creating hit songs such as &#8220Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” and &#8220My Prayer.” Other well-known artists scheduled to perform in the future include The Elsbeary Hobbs Drifters, The Cab Calloway Orchestra, and the Marvelettes, to name a few.
